overview
Poule et patates (KO-cotte)
Step into the witty, quirky world of Poule et patates, an oil painting that blends satire, absurdity, and visual poetry. Set in a spotlight-lit boxing ring, this surreal scene showcases an improbable showdown: a victorious hen standing tall beside a bewildered boxer. Equal parts humorous and thought-provoking, this original artwork instantly captures the eye and sparks conversation.
Description
In the center of a boxing ring, beneath the stylized multicolored glow reminiscent of the Olympic rings, a referee raises the wing of a triumphant hen surrounded by discarded gloves and scattered feathers. Beside her, a crestfallen boxer and an astonished announcer complete this comical tableau. In the background, a crowd of spectators—both humans and fellow poultry—watches this unexpected upset. The piece plays on the stark contrast between the intense, serious world of competitive sports and the utter absurdity of an undisputed chicken champion.
