Study of "Paesecheballa", this original ink drawing unfolds a festive and poetic reinterpretation of the Arcachon Bay, where the architecture comes to life to the rhythm of a dance beneath fairy lights. The multitude of graphic details whimsically blends the silhouette of the Dune of Pilat, the iconic villas of the Winter Town (Ville d'Hiver), the old Moorish Casino (Casino Mauresque), and a flotilla of traditional sailboats on the horizon. This preparatory sketch bears witness to the graphic research that precedes my work with colours on canvas.
