Study of "Déconcertante conséquence du confinement" (Disconcerting consequence of lockdown), this original ink drawing unfolds a highly ironic and tragicomic scene from my series dedicated to the world of chickens. A man lying on a psychoanalyst's couch confides his anxieties to a rather unexpected therapist: a chicken majestically perched in the consultation armchair. The multitude of graphic details—from the heavily veined wooden floorboards to the hypnotic large polka-dot wallpaper and the bookbindings on the shelf—creates an absurd, funny, and deeply poetic visual rhythm. This preparatory sketch bears witness to the graphic research that precedes my work with colours on canvas.
