Study of "Chatvulà" (The cat seen from here), this original ink drawing playfully reverses roles by adopting the point of view of the little bird perched on the balustrade. Through the panes of the large arched window, the gaze peers into the room where the cat, now the observer, looks right back at us. The multitude of graphic details—from the ornate birdcage in the background to the delicate floral patterns on the curtain and wallpaper—creates a tender, whimsical, and dreamlike visual rhythm. This preparatory sketch bears witness to the graphic research that precedes my work with colours on canvas.
